The soul is like a fresh zephyr
Gentle, tranquil and sometimes a gust
Keeps on sailing across borders
Giving life to all is what it doest
The soul is like a deathless harmony
Playing itself on various albums
Crossing barriers and boundaries
Puts lives of all in a settled rhythm
The soul is like a meandering river
Flows and drifts in ebbs and tides
Never swaying; zig-zagging the frontier
Joins everything that man divides
The soul in all it's majestic glory
Moves on; fastens the strings of all
kinds of life; and is pure and holy
And takes a new life-form on God's call

btw, you have been tagged on my blog! :3
This is wonderful--so seldom do we see a poem focusing on the soul. Beautifully written.
love the zig zagging like it is stitching up what man divides...very nice one shot...
reminds me of "a river runs through" (name of movie) - and of course, the soul is that, it's the constant, always there... you show that nicely in your poem
Thank you Choco, Teresa, Brian and gospelwriter... :)
i like the sailing across borders and zig-zagging the frontier..nice one shot sumit!
Seems that a soul is like a lot of things, each different from the other. Nice One Shot!
Thank you Claudia and Eric...
I liked the soul as meandering river.. as I relate with river so much... nice take on understanding soul... and the last lines were powerful...
A zephyr, a harmony, a river - and it yearns for home (God). Beautiful poem.
Thank you Shashi...
