Parents - No Less Than God

Our life, existence -
Charity of our Parents,
Is it less than His?

Parents - divine, pure
No less than the Supreme Being
Comb us for the worst

For Haiku Heights.
Prompt #23 - Charity.

Very nicely written, S.S. It is the utmost respect when children are thinking like that of their parents.
I doubt it will be sustained for every moment. For sure in retrospect I can see many times when my parents have failed God.
Don't we all? XD

I love that Haiku forces us to be so concise, so clear. Beautifully done. I put your link on my blog. Not sure if I should have asked first as I am new to all of this. But I really like your work! pat

An ode to your parents....interesting existential question....who is the life giver .... The Lord or the parent?

What a beautiful tribute...every parent hopes to receive (and be worthy of) this kind of love and respect from their children. Or, at least, I sure do.

i enjoyed reading your words - and thoughts... this is a bit daring to compare parents with god - well, if you are really aware of god's cruelty and negligence... then... better think again...
parents should always try to be thoughtful in everything they do and decide - love should be motivation no. 1 - there is no need to be god, to be the best human being would be absolutely sufficient.

I agree, parents should act with the highest regard in raising their children. They are only on loan from God. :)

Lovely haiku, Sumit.

Thanks guys...:))

@Jim
Thanks Jim for your views..
Parents may fail God..but they never fail us...I am not telling there are no exceptions... :)

@Pat
Thanks Pat...and its a great honor for me that you put my link on your blog.. :)

@pr910
definitely...I have put a lot of thought on it..

@LadyArt
I know it is quite daring to compare God with our Parents..but then again...this is what makes our Parents greater...the wrath of God when you disobey him whereas the love of Parents even when you hurt them...
I have seen that love in them... :)
