Children are out of their houses
Wearing ghoulish robes painted bloody
Big carved pumpkins on their faces

Evil monsters, ghosts and witches
Knocking on every door in the alley
Children are out of their houses

Unreal broomsticks, axes and maces
"Trick or treat?" they ask for candy
Carved scary turnips on their faces

Teenagers making horrific noises
They are enjoying a halloween party
Children are out of their houses

Elders join in the fun themselves
Vampires, werewolves, demons are spooky
Bloody teeth, red eyes on their faces

Its a holiday for relieving stresses
Yet some fear while some enjoy amply
Children are out of their houses
Chunks of candy on their pumpkin faces

Billy Was Tricked

There was this girl Billy fancied
In taking her out he did succeed;
     A long walk after dinner,
     Finally home and bummer!
She was a dude, he'd been tricked.

A Lesson To Learn

Fragile yet robust
Leaves tremor in windy rain
Undeterred, rampant

We are all vulnerable to certain things in our life and yet we are strong at the same time just like the trees out there in the open. Whenever there are obstacles in our life, we quiver, we tremble just like the trees in the windy rain. Despite all this, we still move on and try to stay on the right direction without swaying away and keep on growing until we die just like the trees.

Prelude To Our Love

I saw her for the first time
In the old red-rose garden
My heart like a bell, chimed
Was she, an angel from heaven?

Was I in a fairyland
Or was it a dream? I wondered
To check, I pinched my hand
It was real, my senses answered

Her heart, I longed to win
And wanted her in my arms
I took a step, my legs felt thin
As I compared myself to her charm

The wait seemed an eternity
My vibes for her grew
I would die for this beauty
But what to do now, I had no clue

I would talk to her, I resolved
Guiding my feeble legs towards her
Nearing her, my utopia dissolved
And I wished to be a little braver

What a graceful smile on her face
Everything seemed still and
My heartbeat took up the pace
When she asked "Would you be my friend?"

He was young and at his prime
When he joined the Indian freedom struggle
His deeds were worth a thousand dime
And he considered everyone his equal

He was a great revolutionary
Hanged at the age of twenty three
Smiling before his last breath for his country
All he wanted was his motherland to be free

He was a patriot, a champion, a martyr
Known to us as Shaheed Bhagat Singh
His death brought among the masses, a hunger
For freedom that marked the British rule's ending

His morals are still at large
Yet nobody is willing to cross the marge

My second try at HAIKU. Well, this one though is not related to nature, does not have a season word but I have used the 5-7-5 form of HAIKU.
I have written this HAIKU using the three words (hint, lust and sheen) which are this week's words provided by Three Word Wednesday.

A Dreamy Love Affair

I am enchanted by your intoxicating beautiful eyes.
Lost in the echoes of your sweet voice
I long to kiss your luscious lips, and it feels so nice
To be together, for my heart and I rejoice.
Now, we are flying on the exquisite winged dove
Through vast continents full of love and only love.
On the horizon, I see the sun melting into the sea as our lips touch
And I admit, I have wanted this for so long and so much.
Deep within I could hear the mellifluous love beats from your heart
As I whisper 'Love you, my sweetheart'.
Adorned in white silk, heavenly angels dance -
Cupid sings, and wherever I see, there is romance.
I rest my head on your shoulders, admiring you and your beauty
Only to wake up and realize, a dream - so lovely.

Four years ago, I had this dream. It was about this girl from high school. I have tried to paint it with words.
