Did I ever say who I think you are?
Orb of the dark, emanating sweet bliss
Shining merrily, I see miles afar
Illumining life with a subtle kiss

Austerely metamorphosing each night
As if painting earth with virtues sundry
Your dainty complexion, a soothing sight
Symbol of love - your eternal beauty

But once in a while you conceal yourself
And sometimes you are lost within the shades
Like always, you will embrace your own self
I hope, but at this moment my faith fades

As long as I breathe and my heart can beat
I'll wait, so when you arrive, I can greet

In The Heat Of Love

This poem is inspired by the tune of the song "I will follow you into the dark" by "Death Cab for Cutie".

In the heat of love
We may cease to live
But our bonded soul's
Will never die
I promise you that

In the heat of love
Our heart's may cease to beat
But the times we spent
Will never be lost
I assure you that

If you and I decide
That we are satisfied
Then no one in the world
Will ever set us apart

If the world is not enough
Then Heaven and Hell may try
But I insure you dear
That they will fail alike

Love is pure
Can change the hearts of cruel
Savages and nasty men
As it refined
The vicious me

Love is kind
Sparkles the crude with love
Crumbles the sword of hate
And it wins
A pleasing victory

If you and I decide
That we are satisfied
Then no one in the world
Will ever set us apart

If the world is not enough
Then Heaven and Hell may try
But I insure you dear
That they will fail alike

In the heat of love
Oh yeah! In the heat of love

For Three Word Wednesday.
Prompts: cease,heat,nasty.

Parcel Of Love

Burning sensation
Be it pain, angst, jealousy -
A parcel of love

Love comes in a package - full of pain, angst and many other feelings. All these feelings can burn our heart in a fraction of a second. The desire to be with someone. The pain we feel when we have an argument with that special someone. And when that someone is with somebody else, how would you feel? All these feelings are part and parcel of love. Without all these feelings, love would be tasteless, odorless which in turn will make our life tasteless and odorless. This is why we say "Love is Life". Life is an adventure and so love is. If love is not accompanied by all these other feelings then there won't be any adventure. There won't be any passion and ardor either. Accept love with all it's mates. The warmth of love will be greater then.

Happy Valentine's Day to all... :)

The Search Continues

In the corner of my fragile heart
A fire is lit - eternal and ethereal
It's brightness surpasses
That of my once saddened, forbidden soul
Darkness that encompassed my life
Has crumbled and faded away
A carnival of blessed joy
Hard times, raw emotions, tearful eyes
Surreal they seem
As, once that was called the murky heart,
Glows with an aura of victory -
Invisible but within my passionate core
Disposed to take risks
Breaking the shell
And coming out of seclusion
I seek out for myself

A search that was once abandoned
Now continues...

Celestial Embrace

Celestial embrace
Sickness, bad omen - vanish
Into oblivion

Ill, negative thoughts -
After a tender hold in arms
Fade like morning mist

Smile on lips return
Worries seem non-existent -
Mother's loving clasp
